Bandai Namco Games will ship the Macross Triangle Frontier game in a limited-edition pack with the Macross Frontier ~Itsuwari no Utahime~ film and new anime in Japan on February 3, 2011. The Macross Triangle Frontier Itsuwari no Utahime Pack will include the entire 2009 film on UMD, the disc format primarily used for the Sony PSP portable game console. It will also include new computer-graphics movie footage, a new anime called "Chō Jikū Gekijō," and other video extras.

This game has two main modes of play: Academy Mode and Campaign Mode. Academy Mode allows you to create and play as a brand-new student in Mihoshi Academy. The character you've built up can be used in the campaign mode. During campaign mode, you can select from a variety of operators and pilots.
